Getting Started with Moon Valley AI
This revolutionary AI is about to change the way we create animations. To get started, we open the Moon Valley AI website. On this website, with just a bit of scrolling down, you can watch and explore sample videos generated by this AI. The power of this AI in creating breathtaking cinematic and animated wonders is truly remarkable.
What's interesting is that alongside each video, you can even view the prompt that was used to generate it. Rest assured that the future is in the hands of artificial intelligence.
My recommendation is to enhance your abilities by collaborating with AI. So, to use this AI, we click the beta button. This will connect you to the Discord website. The beta version is accessible through Discord.
Now click on the "Accept Invite" button. After a few seconds, you'll find yourself on the dedicated Moon Valley page within Discord. From the left-side menu, there's a helpful guide link for using Moon Valley.
If you scroll down a bit, you'll find a list of rooms for generating videos. You can select one of these rooms randomly. I click on Room 5.
In these rooms, you can view videos generated by other users and even review the prompts used for generating those videos. I play one of these videos. You can also see the prompt used for generating that video displayed above it.
Now, the question is, how do we create a video with this AI? At the bottom of the page, there's a text box for entering your prompt. I press the slash key on the keyboard to access the command menu.
In this menu, I select the "create" command. The "create" command has three sections: prompt, style, and duration.
Writing an Effective Prompt
First, in the prompt section, I write a detailed description of the idea I want to turn into a video. For example, "A beautiful female Android cyberpunk soldier anime character is walking through a cinematic cityscape with bokeh lights on the streets of Canada." This is my desired prompt.
After that, I click on the style section, and a menu with five options is displayed. You can choose one of the styles: comic book, fantasy, anime, realism, or 3D animation. For generating the video, I select the 3D animation option just for testing purposes.
Then, a new menu appears for selecting the video duration. You can create a short, medium, or long video. Moon Valley's AI also needs some time, as indicated for each option. In this specific case, I choose the medium option. In this scenario, the AI requires between 4 to 8 minutes to generate a video with a medium duration.
After this, a new menu opens with two options. The first option is "negative," which allows us to input negative prompts. The other is "seed," which allows us to control scenes and characters in a fixed manner. I will explain these last two points in detail in upcoming tutorials, so stay tuned for the next videos.
In this situation, I click in the text box and press the Enter key. This way, my prompt will be added to the queue. After a short while, Moon Valley transforms it into a video, and the result of this prompt is displayed as a highlight. I am now playing it so that we can watch the video. It's quite close to my prompt.
With the full-screen option, we can watch the video in a larger size. I am satisfied with this generated video. Remember, the more detailed the prompt is and the more comprehensive the description provided about the desired scene, the better the results you will get from AI-generated videos.
On the right and top side of the video frame, there is a download button to save this video. As of October 2023, specific features for controlling camera movement and aspect ratio are not yet available in Moon Valley. However, Moon Valley has announced these features are on our development roadmap and will be rolled out soon.
Let's go through other video production styles with another example. I scroll in the left section and select one of the rooms for inserting a prompt. At the bottom of the page, in the prompt input box, I press the slash button. In the dropdown menu, I choose the "create" command. I paste the idea I've prepared as text in the prompt section.
"A small fairy of blue light. She is a mystical being with butterfly wings and a gentle glow. The fairy represents nature in its beauty." Beautiful face.
By clicking on the style section, the relevant menu opens, and this time I select comic book. After that, the menu for video timing opens, and I choose the medium option.
I click on an empty text box and then press Enter. The prompt is now in the queue, and after a short while, the video is generated based on it.
Considering that I want to test other Moon Valley styles, I repeat the same process, and each time, I only select styles such as fantasy, manga, anime, realism in the style section.
